Our drawing workshops are a vibrant part of the Nubian Canadian Association’s community programs, designed to nurture artistic talent and encourage cultural expression among youth and adults alike. These creative sessions go beyond basic drawing skills—they provide a platform for participants to explore their personal identities, tell their stories, and celebrate Nubian heritage through visual art.
Led by experienced artists and mentors, the workshops guide participants through different drawing techniques, including sketching, shading, and storytelling through images. Attendees are encouraged to draw inspiration from traditional Nubian patterns, landscapes, and symbols, creating artwork that reflects both their cultural background and their lives in Canada.
The program also promotes emotional expression, confidence building, and a sense of belonging. By the end of each workshop, participants often showcase their work in community exhibits or digital galleries, allowing their voices to be seen and appreciated.
Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or developing your existing skills, our drawing workshop offers a welcoming space to learn, grow, and connect with others through the power of art.
